Price watch and competitor monitoring: worked examples

These are implementation examples, not customer case studies or measured performance claims.

Example 1: watch a product price

Register Price Watch for a supported public product URL. Review the displayed amount, currency and variant in the first report. Compare later observations only when those dimensions match. Record expected values manually and compare them with observations to measure extraction accuracy.

Example 2: detect policy changes

Use Web Watch on a returns or shipping-policy page. Review additions and removals before updating a support agent's knowledge. Test by changing a page you control and checking whether the next scheduled report reflects it.

Example 3: follow competitor updates

Use Competitor Monitor for selected pricing, blog or changelog pages. Keep an analyst review step so cosmetic changes are not treated as business events. Compare reported changes against your own annotated history.

Measure before publishing a case study

For each pilot, record the page set, dates, schedule, correct observations, missed changes, failed reads, notification delay and actual cost. Publish named customer quotes only with permission. No client results or latency improvements are claimed here.

Schedules and scale

Scheduled agents currently run daily or weekly, require an account key and allow up to ten active services per account. They are not a real-time or hourly monitoring guarantee. For a custom collection schedule, use the external scheduling guide.
